Data Collection
Gorgon Codex is operated by Lucent Enterprises Ltd. The site does not require user accounts and does not collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information. We use third-party analytics services as described below. We do not sell personal data.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. This service uses cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors and track page views, search queries, scroll depth, and outbound link clicks.
Google Analytics may collect approximate location (country/region), device type, browser, and operating system. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual visitors. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Newsletter
If you request site updates, we store your email address and consent state in a Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare Turnstile verifies the form submission and Cloudflare Email Service sends the confirmation and update messages. Your subscription is not activated until you confirm it by email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any update. We do not sell or share newsletter addresses for third-party marketing.
Data Retention
Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the settings and retention policies of Google Analytics and Google AdSense. Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. We do not maintain a separate advertising-profile data store.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Google and its demand partners may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve, measure, prevent fraud, and personalize ads where permitted. Depending on your location and consent choices, ads may instead be non-personalized. Where required, a consent dialog is shown before ad-related data processing occurs. Your Rights
If you are in the EU/EEA (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restrictions on your personal data and to opt out of certain sale or sharing for advertising. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at contact@gdbn.live and we will remove it.
