Overview

Priest and Mentalism is a strong healing combination, especially for supporting a dedicated tank in Project Gorgon. Priest provides direct heals, group healing, CC removal via Unfetter, and Psychic and Fire damage for solo play. Mentalism adds armor restoration buffs, additional healing through Psi Health Wave and Reconstruct, and Electricity/Psychic damage options.

The combination is versatile: you can solo content comfortably with Priest's damage abilities while having the tools to be a full-time healer in group dungeons. The 8 abilities below are your core healing toolkit for hard content — in easier dungeons, swap Reconstruct for a damage ability like Smite so you can contribute DPS during safe windows. Project Gorgon's design explicitly expects healers to deal damage when healing isn't needed. Mentalism's armor regeneration abilities are especially valuable because higher armor means more damage mitigation per hit, making them a proactive complement to Priest's reactive heals. For maximum raw healing throughput, Fae Druid + Mentalism is an alternative — but Priest brings unique utility like Unfetter (CC removal) and Remedy (poison cleanse) that Druid lacks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I heal with other skills?
Fae Druid + Mentalism provides the highest raw healing throughput and is a strong alternative. Priest is the tank-support specialist with unique utility — Unfetter removes CC (stun, root, slow) and Remedy cleanses poisons, which Druid lacks. Several other skills have minor healing abilities (Psychology's Pep Talk, Animal Handling), but Priest and Druid are the only serious group healing options.
Is it hard to solo as a healer?
Not at all. Priest has solid Fire damage abilities and self-healing, and Mentalism adds Psychic/Electricity damage. You can solo effectively — just slower than dedicated DPS builds.
What's the difference between Mentalism and Psychology as a second skill?
Mentalism provides armor regeneration buffs and additional healing — higher armor means more mitigation per hit. Psychology provides debuffs, crowd control, and self-healing. Mentalism is generally preferred for group healing because keeping armor topped up significantly reduces incoming health damage.
